EFR First Aid at Work Instructor (GB)

The Emergency First Response First Aid at Work Instructor course provides qualified Emergency First Response instructors with the additional training necessary to teach the Emergency First Response First Aid at Work and Emergency First Aid at Work courses, and to act as an assessor for the Emergency First Response First Aid at Work course. This course is aimed at the Emergency First Response Instructor who wishes to teach first aid in the workplace environment for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 (GB) and focuses on introducing the instructor to regulatory and course requirements for this purpose.

Goals

The Emergency First Response First Aid at Work Instructor course goals are to:

1. Assure that EFR First Aid at Work instructor candidates understand the Emergency First Response First Aid at Work (GB) programme structure, requirements and procedures
2. Familiarise EFR First Aid at Work instructor candidates with the Emergency First Response First Aid at Work (GB) programme philosophy and regulatory requirements and prepare them to teach EFR First Aid at Work courses that are instructor led, low stress, performance based and learner centred
3. Familiarise EFR First Aid at Work instructor candidates with Resuscitation Council (UK) BLS protocols and Voluntary Aid Society secondary care protocols
4. Provide EFR First Aid at Work instructor candidates with practical suggestions for organising and marketing their Emergency First Response First Aid at Work (GB) courses
5. Encourage instructor candidates to become active Emergency First Response First Aid at Work (GB) instructors and to use their skills to train those who require first aid for the workplace environment
6. Ensure that each instructor candidate meets statutory First Aid at Work Instructor/Assessor requirements
