As the only PADI 5 Star Career Development Centre in Cyprus, Coral Bay Divers offers the full range of PADI Career Development programmes. From the first professional level, the Dive Master, to the highest Instructor levels, including Tec Rec Instructors and Course Director preparation programmes.

Our PADI Instructor Development Course run over a period of 15 days to give you a comfortable amount of time to develop the expert knowledge in all the subjects required of a PADI Diving Instructor. The PADI IDC is conducted in a state-of-the-art classroom providing a stress free and conducive learning environment.

As a PADI Dive Master you are already an important member of an instructional team. During the IDC you will be making the transition to become an effective dive educator, understanding the whole PADI System and learning how to teach all PADI programmes.

It is important that you fully understand what you must do to complete an IDC successfully. As with any other PADI programme you must come fully prepared.

As soon as you know that you want to complete your PADI IDC with us, get in touch, as there is a bit of pre course work which you need to complete. We will start your your preparation from the moment you have signed up for one of our PADI IDC’s.

All our IDCs start with a three-day IDC Prep Programme. This means that you will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of workshops in dive theory as well as dive skills. Participating in these workshops does not mean that you do not have to prepare yourself, it just means that any issues and questions you may have will be clarified in order to achieve the best possible result in the IDC and IE. You will also have the opportunity to practice under the guidance of an experienced Instructor.

At Coral Bay Divers we also offer the full range of Career Development Courses. You can start this programme at any level. To participate in a PADI IDC you must have been a qualified diver for at least six months and have at least 60 logged dives.

Successful completion of the IDC will allow you to participate in an Instructor Examination (IE). The IE is a two-day programme and is conducted by a PADI Examiner. The IE is the natural progression for any aspiring PADI Instructor, and we will make sure that you have no problems getting over this little bump in the road before you start teaching your own divers.

The IDCs at Coral Bay Divers are taught by Jurg Dahler, a multilingual, very experienced, award winning PADI Course Director. Jurg has been a PADI Course Director since March 2002 and has since then taught many IDCs. Jurg has taught full-time in the diving industry since the early nineties and this has taken him to many fantastic dive locations around the world. Teaching PADI IDC’s for various PADI Instructor Development Centres, Jurg recognises the need for quality trained diving professionals and is therefore fully committed to providing only the best to the Instructor Development and Leadership Programmes.

Please note that no PADI materials or PADI Fees are included in the above price

Transfers & Accommodation

We can help you plan your trip to Coral Bay Divers in Cyprus for your IDC;

  • Accommodation can be arranged (but not included in the price)
  • We offer FREE Airport Pick-Up and Drop-Off from and to Paphos International Airport
  • Food can also be arranged for the whole programme (lunch and/or dinner – not included in the price)
